    I thought I was casual user... that I could quit whenever I wanted without any ill effects. Until this morning, that is, when I went to get my fix.

    I turned on my computer and waited for the prettyful colors of the Windows logo to show up.
    Nothing.

    Turned it off, then on again.
    Still nothing.

    Narrowed down the problem to the monitor, did a self-check on it and started frantically checking cable connections.
    Still nothing.

    Finally called tech support - they sent me out to buy a new VGA cable.
    With some hope in sight, I immediately rushed off to Best Buy and came home with my new cable, hooked it up, and anxiously awaited the results....
    Again, NOTHING! My heart sank.

    In a panic, I called tech support again and we finally came to the conclusion that I need a new video card. Quick fix with the DVI cable and I'm good to go for now.
    Instant euphoria!! :typerhappy:

    Apparently this was a day to submit deviations... I have about 65 more to get through! But yours are getting closer ;)

    :lol: I started with 210 this morning, went thru some ... got it down to 160 ... came back tonite, back up to 201 ... am having fun tho! Really some neat art :D One of a tiger ... minus his head in water with green leaves all over ... sounds odd, but its very cool! Best one of the night so far, must say :D lol listen to me babble!!

    I can't go without the internet. I admit that I'm addicted. But not in your usual sense. If I don't have something to focus on, I focus on myself, and then that get's ugly, and I eventually end up in a near catatonic state on my bed crying my eyes out like a looney. So. I need distractions. The internet is an endless distraction.

    I know what you mean though, it distracts me as well...from things I don't feel like thinking about or doing. But sooner or later those things do have to be dealt with - they don't just go away.
